- Optimized storage of an on-premises Apache Iceberg data lake from 140 TB to 70 TB by automating daily snapshot expiration and orphan-file cleanup across Bronze/Silver/Gold tables, with targeted metadata cleanup for critical tables to keep storage growth sustainable.
- Automated detection of stalled Spark workloads across 200+ tables by building a Kafka-driven PySpark monitoring pipeline that aggregated 30-minute activity into 2-hour and 1-day windows, applied per-table staleness thresholds, and triggered Webex alerts through an API.
- Restored 5-6 failing production jobs by tracing type-casting regressions through shared pipeline logic, creating a versioned compatible implementation, and updating 3-4 dependent integration points.
